For more than Forty years, John Cowderoy Antiques  provided customers with an unparalleled level of Customer Service at their shop in the heart of Eastbourne’s ‘Little Chelsea’.

 In addition to buying and selling Antiques of all descriptions, a comprehensive restoration service is offered. We also have a large back-up team of specialist craftsmen working under the direction and quality control of David Cowderoy.

David Cowderoy, who leads the team of craftsmen, will be pleased to help and advise you on all aspects of furniture restoration, and the buying and selling of Antiques.

We offer a very wide range of repair and restoration services which will bring your most treasured possessions back to their original splendour.

Clock repair:
Including re-bushing, cleaning, regulating.  Missing wheels and pinions calculated. Missing parts can be made from scratch, sympathetically and in a style to suit the clock. David holds a distinction diploma in the repair and restoration of antique clocks.
Depending on your location, we can offer a personal service and clock repairs may be possible on site in your own home. We are prepared to travel thoughout the UK and further afield – contact us for an idea of the cost involved.

Other Restoration work:

Including re-veneering, replacing missing mouldings, re-polishing.
Including broken or missing carriage clock glasses made to fit.
Including sand castings and “lost wax”, for case ornaments, finials, furniture knobs and handles, you name it, we can probably make it.
Including case repairs, inlay work and re-polishing.
